Made by a 40-year operator — Inc. 500 twice, SBA Small Business of the Year — not a tight-jeans, hair-bun agency with an attitude.
I started selling home improvement products in 1986 with AMRE in Charlotte, NC. It was one of the first major home improvement companies in the country. The training was structured, disciplined, and built around one-call close. I still use those same principles today.
Kip ran a company that made the Inc. 500 twice — Coastal Empire Exteriors, Savannah’s SBA Small Business of the Year. He’s been featured on the cover of Replacement Contractor Magazine (September 2003, byline by the late Jim Cory) and sat at the mastermind tables alongside the top operators in the home improvement industry for four decades.
Those 40 years of marketing — $1M+ annual budgets, six-figure agency retainers, every growth lever pulled — is what he poured into building The AI Office.
The only thing that ever stopped you was the story you told yourself.
Before the AI office — the company that earned the rolodex.
Forty years of operator experience. A rolodex of the people who built this industry. Now encoded into software every contractor in America can run.
The late Jim Cory — senior contributing editor across SGC Horizon’s trade press — put Kip on the cover in ’03 and came back for expert quotes whenever he needed an operator who had done the reps. A few of the pieces Kip was quoted in:
Joe Talmon mentored Kip 1:1 for 20 years and was inducted as a Legend of the Home Improvement Industry in the latest class. Tim Musch (MarketSharp) was inducted in 2022. Rich Harshaw took Kip on as his first home improvement client and the only one who ever owned his own material — because Kip was as deep in the work as Harshaw was.
Mastermind seats: Dave Yoho’s inaugural HIPIS “Young Guns”; a separate mastermind hosted by Rick Grosso; and a mastermind with Brian Gottlieb (Tundraland — $150M exit to Leaf Home, author of Beyond the Hammer, Legend inductee). All told, personal relationships with 15–20 of the Legends of the Home Improvement Industry — the award H.I.M.S. has issued since 1986, including Rick Wuest (Thompson Creek Window Company) and Nino Vitale (TEMO Sunrooms).
Coastal Empire Exteriors — Savannah, GA · sunnyroom.com. At its peak (2005): $5.96M in annual revenue, 91% year-over-year growth, 497 installed jobs in a single year. Sunrooms, windows, siding, and exterior remodeling. That rolodex — 40 years of it — is the moat myEASysystem is built on.
40+ years of home improvement, sales, and running companies. These are my first attempts at video — direct, no-BS, still learning.
